Fundraisers
One of our major fundraisers each year is an annual 9-hole golf tournament. This year the tournament was held held on Sunday, Sept. 10, 2023.
Thank you everyone for another great Methodist Golf FUN-draiser!! This year (2023) we honored another long time golf committee couple, Chet & Pat Runyon. We named our putting contest in their honor. We had great weather and a lot of fun. Thanks to all of our sponsors, volunteers and golfers, we raised over $4000 for Methodist Men’s projects. As you can see from the list of sponsors, volunteers, and participants, this is an all-church event. A number of non-golfers came to our Awards dinner and enjoyed fellowship and great food.

Retreats
For spiritual growth, we hold an annual retreat, usually during the month of February. For More information, Contact Russ Sprunger (503) 320-3356, russ@thesprungers.com
Provide labor for the Church’s community garden.
Assist the church trustees with maintenance of the church facility.
Provide the coffee for the after-worship coffee hour and other church meetings.
Host an annual breakfast for the local fire department on the first Sunday of Advent, the day they put up the Christmas lights in Newberg.
Provide volunteers for the local food pantry (F.I.S.H.)
