Mission Ambassadors

The Mission Ambassadors is a group of volunteers with a concern for serving people in need at home and around the world.   At the present time there are five regular members who meet monthly.  Other people help with special projects.

The primary responsibilities of the committee are:

UMCOR

To support the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) and its relief work in the United States and around the world.

support
missionaries

To support a United Methodist missionary. The missionary currently being sponsored is Ellyn Dubberly, who is a teacher of English and a Sunday School curriculum development specialist in El Salvador.

outreach

To oversee the various outreach ministries of the church.

Special
sundays

To celebrate the six United Methodist churchwide special Sundays.

special
needs

To arrange projects to meet special needs. For example, in recent years we have collected items for the Catalyst High School resource room and the Mabel Rush School resource room. We have worked in conjunction with FISH to provide food for local families in need, and we held diaper and coat drives for A Family Place relief nursery.

New committee members are welcome.
