Community Garden

Home / Community Garden

The purpose of the garden is to provide F.I.S.H. (the local food pantry) with fresh, healthy produce. Three or four times a week fresh produce is picked and taken to FISH or, when they have an abundance, it is taken to the senior center. We are blessed to have a dedicated group of volunteers who work hard to keep the garden producing.    Sunday mornings during the growing season the harvest table overflows with berries, potatoes, lettuce, spinach, zucchini, summer squash, and flowers.  Parishioners select the produce they can use and may make a free-will offering.  Money collected from Sunday mornings is sent to Newberg F.I.S.H. and produce remaining after Sunday morning is taken to F.I.S.H. on Monday.
